Back in the States, brought some treasure back.
The last few days in Guatemala were spent around Chiquimula area. We got to visit Esquipulas twice, bought some great coffee beans, confessed our sins (not), documented the streets, visited a friend's zoo - I flew on a canopy, then we visited Rio Dulce, explored the San Felipe Castle, which was more of a fort, back in history... to protect the spaniard's stolen gold from the caribbean pirates. I ate some fish, I (literally) barfed it all on our way back to Chiquimula, I couldn't eat well afterwards. We headed back to Guatemala city on Wednesday afternoon. I drove the winding roads of Guatemala and felt like I got a master's with honors in driving. Congratulations to me, I'm a pro. My flight back was still a bit stressful, but I survived it. Now I'm back in the U.S. I went on a wonderful date last night, great food... great company. It's so nice. I miss Guatemala. Part of me wants to go back right now. I am inspired, and I missed a visit to Tikal - next time. I bonded with my friends, and I cannot wait till we put our work together on a slide show.
