lala land and traffic overheat

There was something about Los Angeles I missed, and it was definitely not the traffic. I'm not exactly sure what it was, perhaps it merely seemed familiar. My last months and days in California were spent in Palms LA. It was also the time when I got my best friend, Peluche. Mornings at Coffee bean & Tea leaf, photo shoots in Venice, the dry smell (but not the smog), the palms, and the evening cool breeze from the Pacific. Los Angeles also reminds me a lot about my home, Guatemala. Guatemala city is actually very similar to LA, including the wreckless drivers.

After leaving LAX, I asked Josh to take me to this japanese market I went to a couple of times that's right across my shopping getaway, Giant Robot on Sawtelle and Pico, left off the 405. I had to get my Rohto minty eye-drops.

The day followed by mexican meals, shower and a short nap. We saw Wall-ee which was to my surprise, a good movie with a very unexpected story behind it.

The next morning we were off to the JVC headquaters in Cypress to pick up Josh's camera. Traffic was insane, and after packing his black jetta, we were off to Las Vegas with poor Tang, the cat. It was hot and Josh' car kept overheating, the traffic was insane and I almost got another migraine.

We arrived safely, sweaty, sticky and tired to the city of Las Vegas. Josh blew his bike's tire entering Tropicana's parking garage and we slipped the cat into the hotel. With not very much energy we gambled $10 at New York New York, and lost. We made ourselves feel better by eating fatty, veggie mexican food, a beer and a fresh shower. Sigh.
