Guatemala Adventure (Part One)

During the last week of January and first week of February, my best friend and lover, James Schroeder, and I embarked on a driving and photo adventure around the country of my home country, Guatemala. Our connecting flight was delayed and thus we missed a night in Panajachel, regardless, we experienced quite the adventure. We stopped at an awesome place in Tecpán, which is on the way from Guatemala city to Sololá & Lake Atitlán. We rented a little standard car, Mazda 2. Jay constantly complained about the touchy clutch, but he rocked it regardless. Jay is a former drifter... if you've seen Tokyo Drifting, then you know what I'm talking about if you haven't... don't feel bad because I've heard is a horrible movie anyway.

First night we stayed with a very good friend of the family, who is also my brother Eliu's girlfriend, Karla. She lives in Guatemala city. The second night, we drove to Panajachel, stopped to eat at "Kape Paulinos" and stayed at a hotel with a beautiful view of the lake.
