After the Storm

Last Wednesday evening, Chicago experienced another menacing thunderstorm. The tornado warning sirens went off, the winds were of 70mph and I almost rode my bike under the storm to meet with a client.

The sun is usually still out around 7pm around this time of the year... but the skies turned dark. After the storm, while editing in my computer a beautiful warm light filled the room from the windows. I remembered I hadn't experienced this sort of warm lighting since 1990, after a solar eclipse in Guatemala. There was no need to throw a warming filter to your lens, or add a sepia filter on your digital files. The sky was spectacular and I took some pictures.
