April Brings...

The goal of April Brings… is to ensure that every child in an impoverish community is given a chance to soar. April Brings…believes that every child has the right to happiness. By giving them the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of not only academia but also the world around them, they will become productive and successful citizens. In a world where life can be cruel and unkind, people, especially children, need hope for a better tomorrow.
We seek to create a positive environment where children and parents are able to learn and to just be themselves. We advocate individuality, because when a person determines who they are, then they will be able to steer away from peer pressure and the negatives that the world has to offer. They will not always make the right decisions, but they will make the decision that is right for them. We seek to expand and touch lives with the help of past students and parents involved with the program. We know that the skills that we have given to them, they will be able to pay forward to others.
Our Mission is: to take a stand for things that are right and just, to reject the word “can’t” and accept the word “can”; to firmly believe that our environment does not determine who we are, only WE determine who we are…
