Eleven years residing in the United States, never have I felt so proud as I did last night. Barack Obama was elected President, a smart courageous man who inspires hope and motivation to unite. The first african-american president. The 44th president. A man that will change things for the better. There's a bright path in front of us and so I am happy that I became a citizen last spring and that my first time voting was the most important election for this great country. My cynicism was proved wrong and my vote was not in vain. To all who voted for the right candidate.... good for you/us! Yes we can!!
